“We were delighted to have greeted 25 per cent more visitors at JIMTOF this year compared to last year,” said Sodick Europe’s CEO Peter Capp. “JIMTOF is the premier machine tool tradeshow for the whole of Asia. To have attracted so many visitors to the Sodick stand has really helped us to promote the features and benefits of our world- leading EDM technology. We demonstrated how Sodick can help our customers to improve their overall cutting accuracies.”
Sodick was kept busy throughout the six days of the exhibition and formed a number of positive relationships with some of the leading manufacturers in Europe. A total of 155,000 visitors attended JIMTOF on its 50th anniversary year, including nearly 8,000 overseas visitors from 71 different countries and regions. A number of visitors were from manufacturing companies in China, Taiwan, South Korea and East Africa (where economic growth is driving demand for capital investment).
“This year JIMTOF once again proved that manufacturing is a thriving industry in Europe with a number of high-end, modern engineering companies from all sectors of manufacturing visiting the Sodick stand. Meeting so many important figures in manufacturing and promoting our wide range of products on this scale has proved once again that exhibiting at events like this is well worth our time and investment,” said Peter Capp.
Following the exhibition, Sodick’s JIMTOF delegation spent a day and half in Thailand. They visited the new Sodick factory where they had a briefing on the latest developments of the manufacturing plant that is due to open in February 2013.
